Kumano Kodo Iseji Walking Routes 

Iseji route runs along the east coast of the Kii Peninsula connecting Ise Jingu and Kumano Sanzan for about 170 km.
This route used to be taken by pilgrims headed toward Kumano Sanazan after visiting Ise Jingu. Kumano Sanzan has traditionally accepted all visitors, regardless of status or gender.
