令和２年９月～令和３年３月の期間において、三重県内の小中学生等を対象として食育活動を実施しました。
Local livestock products (Wagyu and Kumano Jidori) were provided for elementary and junior high school student's school lunch in Mie, and the food-educational lessons were conducted about the products over the period from the September 2020 through March 2021.
令和２年度は、新型コロナウイルス感染症の拡大に伴い、外食を控え自宅で食事をとる機会が増加し、その食材を調達するために地域の直売所や量販店が賑わいを見せています。新鮮な地元食材の注目度が高く、地産地消の大切さが見直されつつあることから、この機会を使って地元食材やその生産現場への関心・理解を深めてもらうことを目的として、学校給食に「生きた教材」として提供し、学校現場での食育をさらに推進するとともに、学校給食への地元食材の利用拡大に貢献しました。
In 2020, with the spread of Covid-19, there are more opportunities to eat at home, and sales at local marketplaces and retailers increase.
The importance of local consumption has been reassessed due to the attention of fresh local ingredients, so we took this opportunity to deepen our interest in and understanding of local ingredients and their production sites. Then, Wagyu and Kumano Jidori(※) were provided as a "living teaching material" for school lunches, further promoting food education at school sites, and contributing to the expansion of the use of local ingredients for school lunches.
※ Kumano Jidori : Homebred chicken raised in Kumano city, Mie.
